Real estate professional Laura Lucky was showing a home to a couple in Scottsdale, Ariz., when they drove up on a sight taken straight from the Wild West: a hungry bobcat versus an undeterred rattlesnake along the road.
Lucky began recording the snake as it took a bite out of the bobcat. The two fought for several minutes. She posted her video on social media. As of Thursday, the video had nearly 1 million views.
“The rattlesnake had come up and bit the bobcat on the lip,” Lucky told Fox 10 News. “The cat flew. It was very surreal.”
The buyers in the car with her were from California and were planning to move to Scottsdale.
“I was telling my clients this was very abnormal,” Lucky says. “Don’t expect to see this. It was real fun to watch. Won’t ever see anything like that again.” On Facebook, she wrote “it was a great way to add entertainment and break up a 16-house tour today.”
Bobcats are immune to rattlesnake venom, so you can imagine how this story ended for the snake.

In the fall, another Scottsdale real estate agent captured media attention and thousands of views after posting a video he captured of a diamondback rattlesnake
arriving on the doorstep at his open house.
